Description
The Stallmastaregarden is a renovated 17th century Inn set in gardens overlooking a lake in Stockholm, within five kilometres of Gamla Stan, the old town. The 49 guestrooms have light, modern decor in neutral shades with amenities including satellite TV, direct dial phones, safes and minibars. Executive rooms are split level with sleeping platforms and living rooms.
A Swedish buffet breakfast is served each morning and the hotel restaurant serves fine Scandinavian cuisine in a beautiful light setting, with stunning views over the lake. After a day's sightseeing or business guests can unwind with a drink in the bar and room service is available round the clock. Staff on the 24 hour front desk can offer advice on the hotel and surrounding area and guests arriving by car can park for free. DirectionsThe airport has three railway stations: one for long distance destinations and two for frequent express trains to Stockholm. Taxis run from directly outside the terminals. When taking a taxi, passengers should speak to a taxi coordinator; found outside the terminal building, a typical fare will cost 430SEK. There are also bus stations outside terminals 2, 4 and 5. Airport coaches stop 50 metres from the hotel. Stockholm has an excellent T Banen subway system, as well as a bus and streetcar network. Taxi fares tend to be very expensive.
Driving directions: Take the E4/E20 motorway from the airport heading towards Stockholm and exit at Stallmastaregarden.
