Description
A modern waterfront hotel, the Scandic Ariadne Stockholm is located at the Värta docks, four kilometres from the many shops, restaurants and tourist attractions of Stockholm city centre. This 17 floor hotel features 283 air conditioned guestrooms, all of which feature Nordic style decor with wooden floors, and come equipped with satellite television, minibars, trouser presses and hair dryers.
Guests enjoy complimentary access to three large saunas with views over the waterfront. There are separate facilities for men and women, and the VIP sauna can be rented separately for a surcharge. Adjacent to each sauna is a relaxation room, where guests can unwind with a drink. Restaurant Mistral is decorated in a rustic style and offers views over the sea and Lidingo in an informal atmosphere. It serves a breakfast buffet every morning, and à la carte Swedish and international dishes for dinner. Guests can also enjoy drinks and light meals in the Caldo Lobby Bar, or admire the views from the Sky Bar on the 17th floor. Kids are kept occupied in the playroom and business guests benefit from the use of 20 conference rooms. Guests can use complimentary high speed Internet points to plan a day's sightseeing and multilingual staff are on hand to provide further local information. Attractions in the area include the Royal Djurgarden and Skansen Zoo, both four kilometres from the hotel. Stockholm Arlanda Airport (ARN) is 45 kilometres away from the Scandic Ariadne, around 50 minutes by car.

DirectionsThe airport has three railway stations: one for long distance destinations and two for frequent express trains to Stockholm. Taxis run from directly outside the terminals. When taking a taxi, passengers should speak to a taxi coordinator, found outside the terminal building. There are also bus stations outside terminals 2, 4 and 5. Stockholm has an excellent T Banen subway system, as well as a bus and streetcar network. Taxi fares tend to be very expensive.
