Malardrottningen Hotel
The Malardrottningen Hotel is a luxury yacht coverted into a 2 star hotel
from 70 to 80 Pounds the night.
Previously owned by Barbara Hutton this eccentric hotel features 60 cabins, waterview restaurants,
the Captain's Bar and conference facilities.
Surrounded by the waters of Lake Malaren, the Malardrottningen Hotel is located in the very centre of the Old Town.
Apart from the typical bunk beds you would get on ships the Malardrottningen made it happen to provide you with a smaller number of cabins with two separate
beds on the floor.
There is a nice restaurant with a foredeck that faces the city hall and the Captain Bar in the old wheelhouse. Although Sweden is not the most inexpensive coutry in Europe many visitors would be surprise about the few but
cheap hotels in Stockholm that you can book over the internet. Granted, but only a few cheap hotels are around the Old Town centre in Stockholm there are
some others a little bit further out of town as well as a number of cheap private rooms or bed and breakfast accommodation in the historical centre.
